This weekend Haper HQ hit the kitchen! In celebration of our National Trust- The gardeners rest gift currently being £10 off we thought we would use some of the delicious treats and make a fantastically indulgent chocolate fudge and banana pie!
If you are inspired and want to make this easy recipe at home here’s how!
What you will need:
-200g National Trust- Double chocolate chip cookies
-Clotted cream fudge from the National Trust grab bag
-75g Melted butter
-200g Dairy milk chocolate
-2 Large ripe bananas
-1sp Vanilla extract
-300ml Double cream
What you need to do:
Crush the chocolate chip cookies and then mix with the melted butter. Grease a medium size tart tin and then press the cookie mixture into it. Put in the fridge to cool.
Break up the dairy milk chocolate and melt. Stir in the vanilla extract and leave to cool.
Slice the bananas and arrange them evenly on the biscuit base
Whip the double cream until stiff and then stir in the melted chocolate. Roughly cut the fudge into small pieces and stir into the chocolate and cream. Spoon over the biscuit base and bananas.
Leave to set in the fridge for a couple of hours and then your masterpiece is complete! Serve with cream and maybe sprinkle some more fudge on top. This tart is guaranteed to impress all of your friends and family!
